Born in Oxford but raised in Kilkenny, Ireland, Max completed his Erasmus Mundus Joint master’s degree in European Politics in 2022, studying at three universities around Europe. This experience deepened his interest in the EU institutions and especially fueled his interest in the digital transition at the European level. At UTOPIA, Max concentrates on legislative monitoring and institutional relations, building upon the knowledge he acquired during his previous role as a Junior Associate at Weber Shandwick in Brussels. Prior to working in public affairs, Max worked on marketing campaigns for NGOs in both Brazil and Peru and studied his undergraduate in French and Sociology at Trinity College Dublin. Outside of work, Max enjoys cooking, travelling, and cheering on the Irish rugby team. He is also taking Italian classes with the hope of one day impressing all his colleagues in the Rome and Milan offices!
