EHF participants stressed the critical importance of unimpeded humanitarian access to the area. EU Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management, Hadjia Lahbib: «This year’s Forum demonstrated that the EU and its Members are not leading donors but also leading voices for principled, predictable and sustainable humanitarian action. We’re taking concrete steps to promote humanitarian diplomacy, strengthen protection for civilians, and work more efficiently in fragile contexts. Our message is clear: humanity, solidarity, and the rule of law must remain at the heart of global humanitarian efforts».
