EC forecast: Gentiloni, ‘Uncertainty and risks have increased’

‘The uncertainty and downside risks to the economic outlook arising from the EU’s external environment have increased. Political uncertainty at the global level is also high, taking into account the share of the world’s population going to the to the polls this year’. This was said by Paolo Gentiloni, European Commissioner for the Economy, during the press conference on the spring 2024 economic forecast at the European Commission.
